I love the Vision Pro, but developers have neglected it because  hasn’t a) made it a mass market appeal and b) hasn’t treated developers like true partners and why their platforms sell.

  Ya know that call waiting feature Apple added a bit ago that silences unknown callers, ask them for their name, and then alerts you if they give one? Well, just got my first spam call that got through that. Played a pretty legit recording of “Hi there, Celine speaking” and then switched to regular robo voice when I picked up. The spam arms race continues.

  What do you do after you make an app? Make more apps, of course! Teabear (the amber icon with the bear glyph) will almost certainly be Ubidu’s next app to launch after Oughtyo. I just started working on PigE, which is the pink pig icon, and that green icon at the end probably won’t ever see the light of day, it’s just a game I made for my fiancé and I to play remotely. But, loving how the icons are looking next to each other. It’s so fun to have stuff I’ve made running on my phone!

  Man, I love ordering fun stuff off Etsy that you can’t get anywhere else. (Lots of times because it’s using copyrighted IP…somehow?) And 99.9% of the time it’s a great experience. But this guy I dealt with today who sent me essentially a scam product and then was SUCH a dink about it…really sours the experience and makes me think twice about rolling the dice with sellers.

  @johnvoorhees Hi John! Longtime reader, first time caller :) I’ve been working hard on my first iOS app - an audiobook player, called Oughtyo. I’d love to add you to the TestFlight to get your feedback on it! More interestingly, I’ve done this app ENTIRELY through vibe-coding with Cursor. 0 lines of code were written by me.   After 2 weeks of consistent effort, I finally squashed a pesky bug in Oughtyo that caused audio to pause automatically once it had resumed after an interruption like a notification. (Play audio -> receive notification with Announce Notifications turned on -> audio pauses while notification is read -> audio resumes when notification is done -> audio pauses itself again) It was hard to track down but I think I’ve finally got it!   @marcoarment Hello sir! I’m working on my first iOS app, which is an audiobook player. I’m wondering if I could pick your brain quick on something. I’m having an issue where the app doesn’t respond right to car Bluetooth play/pause controls. It’ll get paused (either by the app, or the car controls), and then start playing again by itself. Overcast, and Apple Music, don’t have this problem. I was wondering if you’re doing anything special to handle this, or if I’m maybe not using the right APIs?
