Me a couple of months ago: I should stop following this person, they haven't done anything wrong but started radiating rotten vibes. Fast forward to now: They're now a Twitter blue check

"Siri Recap ambiently takes notes on your conversations throughout your day and creates high-level Apple Intelligence–generated summaries that you can use later to jog your memory, so you can stay present in the moment" Here is a high-level summary of that time your spouse got mad at you for making a mess in the bathroom.

“If you’re having trouble following this, basically imagine the entire AI industry is the I Think You Should Leave Hot Dog Car Sketch. Oh, but, also, I guess they think the hot dog car is god or could become god in the future. And that if they hadn’t crashed the hot dog car into the store, China would have. And they would rather Americans be the ones to do it.” Amazing stuff, I love the future. https://www.garbageday.email/p/they-want-you-to-be-scared-of-ai-in-a-very-specific-way

I discovered yesterday that our home network setup was IPv4 only for some reason and so I spent an evening setting up IPv6. Networking remains a series of arcane incantations to me, I made it work but I have absolutely no idea why this setup works and the other ones I tried didn't.

I love doing a PR review and in response getting a text in fluent Clownish. Really makes my morning so much more exciting. „Good catch, dropped in both tests — user_factory already draws uid from sequence(:uid) These are async: true, so the hardcoded value was a real collision risk, not just noise.” You’re so right Clown, not just noise!

I keep hearing how this "new world" will enable people to move from the details and concentrate on "higher level ideas" and that is the dumbest idea I ever heard in my life. Things usually are good because highly specialised people take care of **the details**. You don't get to experience good medical care if we don't have specialist doctors. Cars would still be noisy death traps without an absolute army of highly trained safety engineers and...

I can’t wait to read how Trump achieved US goals in the war against Iran. “His threats made Iran agree to a ceasefire deal that yields them millions of dollars per ship and the Iranian military retains control over the strait. Masterful gambit from US president”
