I was watching Scavengers Reign and I liked it from the world building and aesthetics part. It is full of beautiful landscapes and pours of creativity. But... it does annoys me the fact they pictured nature as subservient to humans. Like if it doesn't have some practical value is in most cases antagonistic to the main characters. I guess this is the main theme of the series, but it feels too obvious. How could flora and fauna evolve like that without humans interaction.

Hot take: OS - Development Tools (compiler suit, debugger) - Code editors - Programming Language should all be made together. Alternatives might exist, but that should be a sign to improve the built-in ones.

I will be forever in love of Heart of Glass's Deborah Harry.

If you are someone who uses #C daily, I would love to hear what would you change about the language. For example, I would completely remove auto casting/promotion. I would add explicit number types, like int8 or f64. I would add both function and operator overload. I would add some kind of hierarchical type definition (aka modules). What would you add/remove? #programming #compilers

I've never understood people who complain about vegans being obnoxious. I was vegan for +10 years, and now I am ovo-vegetarian. In total, 30 years without eating meat (or using leather, etc) The amount of bullying and "jokes" both personally given or seen in media is infinite. But somehow there is this narrative veggies are annoying. But, it is the opposite. The moment you say you are vegetarian some asshole makes some joke about meat I've heard thousand time...

The Kyiv Independent @KyivIndependent appalling behavior against Caolan Robertson is hard to understand. I follow both, and I thought they would have a much better relation as they share a common purpose, which is to fight against Russian disinformation. Whoever made this mistake should apologize and fix it. Until then I am not following The Kyiv Independent any longer. Punching down is NOT ok. #ukraine #caolanrobertson #kyivindependent

I am so sick of AI related news. Why on earth people wants to replace the best parts of humanity with auto generated low quality sameness. The last time I saw there was no shortage of new music, paintings, writing, etc. Please use AI to improve human life not to replace it.
