    @cstross@wandering.shop An old gag that I first heard phrased concerning a transplant to small town New England. The transplant asked a native “I know I’ll never be a native, but what about my kids? They were born here.” The reply; “Well no, not really. Just because your cat had kittens in the oven, you wouldn’t call them muffins, would you?”
