It is very rare to hear videogame trailblazers mention that someone else most likely would have come up with the same idea eventually. So big props to Levelord here, discussing his work on HIPDM1 in "FPS: First Person Shooter Documentary" (2023):

I wasn't the biggest fan of "FPS: First Person Shooter Documentary", but right now you can watch all 4 and a half hours of it for *free* on Tubi (where available,) instead of having to pay $18 for a download, so here it is: https://tubitv.com/movies/100047171/fps-first-person-shooter

Friends and fellow retro gaming enthusiasts of New York and nearby areas! I will be appearing at this year's Long Island Retro Gaming Expo once again with a setup of over 50 PCs, and a selection of DOS, Windows, & LAN-networked games. But of course that's just a tiny bit of an amazing retro experience this event offers. Guests, tournaments, cosplay, and *hundreds* of interactive exhibits are waiting for you this August. I hope to see some of you there! Tickets: https://l...

Any vintage printer enthusiasts in the house? I was given a 1984 Toshiba P1340 printer to make a vintage printing station for a public event. Printing simple text from DOS is a breeze, but I'm yet to accomplish *anything* beyond that. Print Shop & its clones don't directly support it. And selecting suggested compatibles doesn't seem to work either. Not my field of expertise, so I'm at a loss. Any suggestions? (EDIT: I have no manual for it, or any other kind of documentation...
