  Shot in 2017. I was drawn to the way this structure holds stillness and tension at the same time — repeated forms pulling forward, almost disappearing into light.   "Reflections on Mortality" I was meditating by the stream. I opened my eyes and was caught by the reflections on the water and the fallen leaves. The subject leaf was soaked and wrapped around the rock. I could tell it was quite decayed, and soon to be no more than bit of residue on the rock. This made me think of my own mortality. My fleeting moment on this planet. I felt glad knowing that I had done some good with my time. #blackAndWhite #photograph #naturepics #california
