  scientists in my lab want to figure out citation gender bias in citations of papers they're writing. one tool they found is https://github.com/dalejn/cleanBib which does work, but requires an external "gender API" which guesses gender (and race, oooof) from names i don't love using a guess based on name, but it turns out to be relatively accurate. anyone got any ideas or hints to improve this?
