Has anyone tried any other styluses with the iPhone Duo? I’m curious if the Logitech Crayon or any others will actually work even though Apple only lists it as working with the USB-C Apple Pencil.

@Cykelero Retcon looks super interesting! Making it super easy for me to go back through my local commits and edit them before pushing is something I’ve wanted for quite a while. One question: I sign my commits with an SSH key through 1Password, and when I reword a commit in Retcon, it and every commit after it come out unsigned. Any chance you could add signing when rewriting, following git’s signing config? It’s the one thing keeping me from using the app right now after testing it.

I wish more people recognized and cared about this. Makes me sad seeing folks return to X/Twitter. @lexfri: “X isn’t a politics-free alternative. X is the most political social network on Earth. It just doesn’t feel political if you agree with the house, or if you’re not the one it’s aimed at.” https://lexontech.org/marco-made-it-about-himself-good

Anyone have a favorite rounded sans-serif that has a bit of quirk to it? I like Kit Rounded quite a bit (in the screenshot) but it’s licensing is not great for me. Preferably variable, with a chunky/bubbly bold/black weight, and a simpler licensing model for web and app use. Not too cartoonish.

A surprise gift showed up today that apparently my wife ordered for my birthday over two months ago! Love this little terrarium 💜 (the terrarium was the gift, not the disassembled iPhone)

@sdw@mastodon.social looks beautiful and I love the layering and dynamics! Unfortunately it feels like a further setback for default accessibility with a ton of contrast issues. I would love to see Apple try to tackle having an accessible by default UI (WCAG AA) and only use settings to enhance it further.

Today's Figma addition of a search field in the new tab UI solves one of my absolute top issues, thank you to everyone that worked on it! You can now hit cmd+T, start typing, and open anything. Even selects already open tabs if you search for a file that's already open. Essentially an always available universal search 😍 From https://www.figma.com/whats-new/ #figma

@castropodcasts any new thoughts on building transcription into Castro? I miss a lot about Castro but have switched over to Apple Podcasts almost entirely because of their transcript implementation. It is just so useful for following along, being able to search and jump to certain topics quickly, see what I missed while listening, etc. I’d love to see it brought to Castro, even as an on demand thing done in app. Maybe using Apples speechanalyzer API?

Long clip, but @marcoarment’s reply to @siracusa’s point on Tim Cook’s retirement just really hit home how much I agreed with both of them. Like I actually do tend to think Cook has good intentions, but does that really matter in the end? https://castro.fm/episode/hCegp8#57:27
