I spend my days writing a beautiful, dying language. It’s nice to see people bringing new life into it by targeting non-web platforms. https://cekrem.github.io/posts/native-elm/

Great article. It makes me want to try extralite. I tend to prefer some kind of DSL over raw SQL, but maybe I should give that up. https://noteflakes.com/articles/2026-09-05-beyond-orms

“Everything DHH built this year, he wanted for himself. Nothing he’s building needs Rails to be better, so he hasn’t made it better.” - @jardo Herein lies one of the fundamental problems with Rails. I wonder if he’ll completely lose interest in Ruby and quit leading Rails. His keynote sure felt like that’s the trajectory he’s on. The core team is full of excellent programmers but would they have the organizational ability to adapt without their leader? https://jardo.dev/hardly-promethean

🦆 Honker.dev provides durable queues, streams, pub/sub, and a cron scheduler inside SQLite 😱 It provides a Ruby gem too. Excited to try it out with Rom, then open a PR to add Rom + Sequel examples. Maybe dry-events too 😈 https://honker.dev/

It was so cool to read about how Stripe rubyfmt'd their entire 25MMLoC codebase. Glad they're sharing more! https://stripe.dev/blog/formatting-an-entire-25-million-line-codebase-overnight-the-rubyfmt-story

I've never really used JRuby but this is really exciting: new version release is compatible with Ruby 4.0. Additionally, due to the hard work of @katafrakt with help from @headius, all dry-rb gems support JRuby now :) https://www.jruby.org/2026/04/21/jruby-10-1-0-0.html
