  Looks like #apple finally unveiled their #foldableiphone and I am impressed with how it looks in this video. However, after my experience with playing with the current #samsungzfold8 and its poor #acessiblity I’m not sure this will be any better.   After using my #framework laptop for month, things have been pretty good, but I am missing #AppleMusic at the moment. I know I can still stream from it in a browser, but, unless I use a VM, I cannot buy music from #apple because they don't allow me to either download purchases or get them off my iPhone onto my computer. 🙁 Hopefully, #7digital gets more stuff in the future.

  Tonight, I just discovered something very useful to know. Even though some things have become more difficult due to being a #linux user with one or more #iOS devices, I am able to freely get files, especially video and music, onto my device thanks to a combination of #vlc and #filebrowserpro #kdeconnect is still useful, but if what you want is on a #nas then the latter will allow things to be as convenient as they were on #Android

  One of the nice things about moving to #linux is how convenient is to tackle my finances. While I didn't have many problems on #macos and what I'm using now in conjunction with my own #financial tracking software could have been used as a mac user, I never knew about the usefulness of the paste and awk commands in helping me to get the math done until recently.

  Funny me, I forgot to fix an issue with a wishlist app I made for myself, which takes what I used to do by hand and speeds things up, so that I only need to stylize HTML with CSS, and I was wondering why I couldn’t add notes to items after the fact. 🤣 While I managed to fix it and create new installers for #windows and #linux I am sad that I can’t create any for #macos anymore. ☹️

  I’m supposed to renew my status with the #appledeveloper program soon, but because #linux users can’t do #iOS programming without resorting to #pwa programming, which is a nightmare for what I want, I find it pointless. Oh well, at least the programs I initially wrote on #macos and use work on Linux and I made sure they that can export to formats like #json #ods and #tsv

  Went to the local #walmart today and I noticed that they were getting rid of those dumb #selfcheckout areas. While not all of them were being replaced, since an employee said there were four or so self checkout points left, I am personally glad because they have both #accessibility issues and do not account for human error, resulting in negligent theft. Is anyone else seeing this change and what do you all think?

  Hey guys, does anybody in the #redhat or #fedora community know of a simple way to backup SELinux stuff, like allowing Apache to run in a way that I can access it on my LAN? Most of my #linux experience comes from the #debian family, which only has me dabble with permissions, and I’m aware SELinux stuff is held in two places, but I’d rather have an easy way to put everything back in place when necessary.

  I did some work on a wishlist program I made for myself, to speed up the creation of HTML files with notes, and I finally gave the program the ability to import and export data to and from excel and ODS files complete with those two formats allowing notes to be included. 🥳 Now, I just need to finish making some installers.

  Finally managed to figure out how to generate an #appimage and made a few. However, I did not like the requirement for an icon, since I have mostly made #cli stuff for myself. Oh well, at least I have a way to make it so that my programs can run easily outside of the #debian and #redhat families while only compiling once.

  I got to play with the #iPhoneDuo from #apple at #bestbuy today, and while I couldn’t get a good feel of it. I am happy to say it was more #accessible than the #samsungzfold8 especially with the dock being in the right place to access with my good hand. Still, I’m not too sure if I’d ever want a #foldablephone because the regular #Smartphones are still the most accessible.

  Anybody switching from #mac to #framework in the near future? I’m hoping my laptop comes soon, as I’m getting even more excited to see how things work out.
