I've got a softmodded 3DS, Vita, PSP, and DSi XL, and a flashcart for my DS Lite. Now all I need is a flashcart for my GBA and GBC, and then actually figure out what games to play x)

At work we've been heavily encouraged to use LLMs for coding, and I have been productive enough to be able to avoid it for the most part. But I decided to, on a personal project, occasionally ask AI for help since it came as part of my JetBrains subscription. Instead of getting the massive productivity boost LLM proponents swear they get from using it, I continuously find myself horrified at the prospect that this unreliable technology is apparently writing the majority of software now. I h...

Linux has come really far, but if you need to install actual windows software that isn't games it can still be an experience that makes you want to break down and sob ๐Ÿ˜” This is about Clip Studio Paint

I legitimately can't fault creatives for not using Linux at this stage.

I thought I found a way to sideload my app without a mac device, but it turns out to do that I need to enable developer mode, and to enable developer mode you still need a mac device. WTF??

I really want to like Celeste, but I really hate the sections that require multiple frame perfect inputs in a row. I simply do not have the reflexes for that

I beat Celeste! I was tempted to use assists a few times but I managed without. (Spoiler: ending art for Celeste)

Is anyone aware of cool "unofficial" GBA games to check out? Things like Goodboy Galaxy

Turns out, emulation is a HUGE chore.

It terrifies me that there are generations of kids that think this is what normal is.

I honestly think I prefer having just a little bit too much work to do over having no work to do at all

I hate the digital age verification trend, but I feel like if we're going to have it, it should be OS-level and the relevant information should be retrieved through platform APIs, instead of having to give your personal details to every single website you visit and risking being doxxed when those websites get hacked

I think I might just turn the big personal project I've been using to try different FE frameworks into a React/React-Router framework. Maybe Vue/Vue-Router.

I had a terrible dream that Jared Leto somehow became the lead singer of Linkin Park.

I know code coverage isn't a good metric, but it sure does feel good to have 100% code coverage

Oh, I realize now why I'm feeling so cold - it's 27 degrees this morning and I don't have my heat on

I saw someone say runtime validation of types (from external sources) in JS is useless, but I'm kind of baffled by that opinion. How can you even trust your types if you don't check? That's how you end up with broken pages when something changes

Having an in-depth code review requirement and having strict timelines for development leads to pain :(

Every time I'm in a programming mood and start feeling the itch to learn more and explore new things, I look at Go and find myself baffled. Not just by the language itself, but how adamantly the community defends poor choices. People will look you dead in the eye and say that there's no good justification for having enums

It's always funny to be reading through github issues and then spot a mutual from here doing something really complex and cool

I said that I like 100% code coverage, but I also feel like you really shouldn't block anything on 100% code coverage. You end up with some very silly tests when you're trying to split the difference between 99.94% code coverage and 100% code coverage.

Dates should always be represented with as much context as possible in transit & storage. Don't give me a date like "Mar 16" please

Everyone is screaming over the California age verification law, but that's like the least terrible version of this law. There are multiple threads full of people claiming that everyone who says that it's not the worst thing ever is a paid astroturfer, and it just feels absurd to see.
