Afternoon delight. Seriously, St Ali’s #coffee is so damn good, and their take on an #EspressoMartini is a real delight.

Watching #RestorationAustralia and here’s the thing: I 100% get the purpose and utility of Queenslander style homes — but you cannot ever convince me they are anything other than f*ck ugly buildings.

So I finally gave up and deleted my account on the other site. I had held onto it initially in the hope that SpaceQaren would given up and sell it off, but it was time to give it the flick.

First day back after quite a mentally exhausting week off and I'm really feeling it today. And that's before I set my alarm for 3am for my first meeting tomorrow.

Left shoulder has been increasingly paining me for a week and I’m four days away from my first possible osteopath appointment. So I’ve now broken out the #GoannaOil and oh my between the heat and the fumes I’m in bliss.

I survived my first day back at work. Had a 10.30am meeting with a collection of experts and pretty much had to start with, “Please go slowly. I’m still trying to get my technical brain back into gear.” And they did go kindly on me. Phew.

I've been using #vim for as long as I can remember, and yes before that, vi. We've lost a great person with the passing of Bram Moolenaar. https://www.theregister.com/2023/08/07/bram_moolenaar_obituary/

First week back is always a bit of a shock after a week off. This morning and tomorrow it’s 3am alarms for 3.30am starts; Thursday & Friday it’s 2.30am alarms for 3am starts. Then Saturday I get to wake up at 2am because the body clock will be screwed up & non-functional :D

Today was Cino’s 19th birthday. He’s always been the most adorably wilful cat. He’s older and slower now than when he was a kitten, but he still just as obnoxiously loud as he’s been all his life. And just as loving. #CatsOfMastodon

Field in online form: "Your first and last name." Me: <enters name> Form: "Please remove your middle name before continuing." Ugh, input validation that doesn't account for people with spaces in their surname can go jump in a hole.

OneUI 6 upgrade finally for the Galaxy Tab S8 and I can't say I'm a new fan (yet) of the radical overhaul they've given DeX.

#Samsung really screwed the pooch with #DeX in OneUI 6.x, didn't they?
