Sent an email to the AEC saying one of the pages on their website was full of American spelling and they should correct it. They emailed back this afternoon saying thanks and they’ll get it fixed. They also spotted one on that page I missed. #pedantry

I put together a quick guide to maximising your annual leave in 2027 for peeps in Melbourne/Victoria. However, should mostly apply for those elsewhere in the country.

I’m taking a look through the Interest Register on the APH website, and Pauline Hanson has turned transparency into a political tool: https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Committees/Senate/Senators_Interests/Senators_Interests_Register/BK6 #auspol

Down at the bowls club for Round 1 of Weekend Pennant. Wearing the new uniform that no one asked for, we didn’t need and was forced upon us. The design is also AI slop.

    1. Open Whirlpool in new tab. 2. See page after page after page of people whining about why they haven't received their new iPhone yet despite it saying "On board" since 7am. 3. Close Whirlpool tab.

You do have to love the cheek of Apple sometimes. Third party screen protector is $99. The exact same one is $19 at JB Hifi.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Dean Hurlston looks like he molests farm animals in his spare time. This is political speech so I'm entitled to say it. Thanks. https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/an-activist-depicted-a-female-councillor-as-miss-piggy-a-judge-says-it-s-political-speech-20260919-p60yqx.html

RE: https://masto.ai/@GhostOnTheHalfShell/117300093319358206 An important note for the three dozen or so Mastodon users not in the United States of America, the registration site mentioned by this person is for American voters only.

I'm thinking about registering whinycunts.au or something like that. It'll just be a website with a list of all news articles featuring small business owners sooking endlessly about how the upcoming RBA card surcharge ban is going to send them bankrupt and it's the end of times. "OH NO I CAN'T MAKE CUSTOMERS PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF GIVING ME MONEY WAHHHH THIS IS SO UNFAIR". Fuck off.

There's a section of road near my house that runs through a shopping precint. Because of this it's a 40km/h zone. However, because there's a school adjacent, it is a 40km/h zone 8am-9.30am & 2.30pm-4pm. There's also some long term council roadworks happening, so it's a 40km/h roadworks zone.

What The Guardian isn't telling us is David Penman is a fucking loony who quite literally threatens legal action against anyone who doesn't rate his shitty AirBNB 5 stars and doesn't leave a glowing review. The moron was also charged after he threatened and harassed someone who left a poor review on Google. He's also been harassing Hepburn Shire councillors for years, to the point they attempted to get an intervention order taken out against him. He's...

Interesting experience today. Ordered a couple products online from Direct Chemist Outlet for pickup at the local store. Received an email that said order received, we'll let you know when ready. Cool. 1pm and no email. I didn't expect it to be ready nor did they say it would be ready in a certain timeframe, however it was two small items they had stock of. I was going to the shops anyway, so rocked in to the pharmacy. Me: blah blah blah can I grab the order whilst I'm...

I've been sitting home all day waiting for a tradie who was supposed to be here between 8am and 12pm. It's now 4pm and I'm assuming they'll be a complete no-show. Booked a day of annual leave for this, which is now wasted. Angry emails are now being sent.
