Not seen much about this online, but I was lucky enough to be in #Riksgränsen a few weeks ago for the 30th anniversary of King Of The Hill. Legends everywhere, and a real celebration of #snowboarding. The party lap before the sidehit session was carnage of the best kind, and massive kudos the the fella carrying a PA speaker on his back the whole day. #KOTH30

Installed the developer beta of #iOS27 on my daily 13 mini last week. I haven’t run a beta on my actual phone in many years, and this one… is fantastic.

@LewisWorkshop Had something similar one time I went back and met up with some old friends. It’d been so long they all assumed I knew.

If you operate a website where your users log in with a #password, please check something for me. Does your website silently truncate the password field? Even better, does it silently truncate to X characters when signing up, Y characters when resetting a password, and Z characters when actually logging in? If the answer to either of those questions is yes, please fix it.

Stomped the back threes this evening! Except the one that stomped my knee and the side of my face. Screwed up the takeoff, but I was too far committed. Knee feels strong, but it no longer likes to bend and is twice the size of the other one. 🤣 #snowboarding

Hottest days of the year and the ice maker has broken. But an interesting failure! My guess from the heat damage to the foam is that the anti-ice coil has been overheating. This caused the fill pipe to droop onto the rotating ice tray, which turned and ripped the whole assembly off the water line at the back of the freezer. #samsung #rsh1 #rsh1dtmh

It’s still early, but the best instruction I’ve received today; “Do not confuse the childcare facility with the fish and chip shop.” No promises.

Just listened to the @atpfm intro from a few days ago. In case you have issues with your Daikin control in Home Assistant, @marcoarment, the inimitable @revk created the Faikout (nee Faikin) board. I have not personally used said board, but it ticks all my home automation local-control boxes, so I present it to you as an option should the official solutions prove to be sad. https://codeberg.org/RevK/ESP32-Faikout

Thanks to UPS, my #Mac Pro currently looks like this. Reckon they went bowling with it. #Apple self-service repair has actually saved this one, though a DIY Mac kit wasn’t quite what I originally ordered.

My employer recently started inserting “⚠️Warning” boxes into the body of every #email received from external domains. I have my thoughts on this, but leaving those for now, I noticed a side effect. Message #previews are effectively broken for all external mail, as they now only show the warning. They’re are default I’ve left on for years, but now I’ve been prompted to turn them off the difference is amazing. Instant inbox clarity. Less noise, more emails. Try it, maybe you'll be surpris...

Today has been another day where to fix one problem I must first fix seven other problems, only to run out of time to fix the problem.

Ahhh, it finally happened. Had to move to #iOS26 on my daily iPhone for parental controls. There’s a lot of UI that’s a bit daft, but I am liking the keyboard layout more, without the daft full stop that I kept hitting accidentally.

I’m happy to report that the #Artemis toilet is “go” all night. 👍

From a graphics performance point of view, the Mac mini (M1, 2020) is roughly equivalent to a Mac Pro (D700, 2013). This is single GPU performance. The second D700 in the Mac Pro is just having a rest. https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/compute/compare/54989?baseline=6183019 No, I didn’t just get a lovely Mac Pro off eBay. Promise. 🤞 #Apple #MacPro

There are two little girls in this café chatting away like mad about their trips to the park and the best way to manufacture “slime”. One sounds like a proper chemist, just with household ingredients. They’re now comparing injuries and shopping trips. 🙂

Suck it up, dweebs. Trixie on 32-bit? I got you. Custom repo for your kernel? I’m down. Stereo sound? Touchscreen? All the colours? Gigabit ethernet? Wire-feckin-less? Have it, using less than 63 MiB of your dedotated wam. Tidy package, ‘bout £20 on the bay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=o2+joggler&_blrs=spell_auto_correct #OpenPeak #OpenFrame
