This is very niche, but does anyone know how long it takes newly laid lino flooring to outgas? Guessing it's probs super dependent on the ventilation of the building. Asking for me, who is asthmatically sensitive to whatever it is that is outgassing.

So my Mum has a priority services register emergency phone (a Motorola desk phone ☎️ with a SIM in it from [redacted telecoms utility]) but the battery life is seemingly quite poor which I do feel defeats its purpose. One of my weekend jobs is to work out if the battery is draining cos it has poor signal. Idk. It initially seemed quite useful.

I have a question for people who are parents about Halloween in the UK: do you only trick or treat at houses of people you already know? Just wondering whether it's neighbourly to provide treats. Haven't done it for a very long time and wondering if safety practices have changed.

Wood burning is so far worse than I thought it would be, and I assumed it would be terrible due to gas prices.

This isn't a thing that should be allowed to happen. > Silicon Practice ran digital services, including websites, online booking and consultations, for around 500 practices in England – just under 10% of the total. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cq146562ld3no
