Sometimes I think my college doesn't like me 😂 The screenshot below is from Canvas, the place we get assignments, grades, etc. from. I appreciate the random inspirational quotes, but "Trying is already a win." isn't exactly awe inspiring... #CanvasLMS #College #xp

I'm taking a Foundations of Drawing course this semester. The focus of this project was proportion and measuring. I need some more lines to help give context more so it doesn't feel like it's floating, but overall, I'm really happy with it. It's an exercise ahead of a project we will be starting on next week. #College #Drawing #MastoArt #xp

How is the best way to transfer posts between two pixelfed accounts? Is there a tool that uses the pixelfed API or something else I'm missing. It's not like I have many posts, but I don't want to have to manually redo any more than I have to. #Pixelfed #AskFedi #AccountMigration

The internet can be scary, but there are also some great people with a hilarious sense of humor... https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Reference/Status/418 #DevHumor #ErrorMessages

I completed this assignment a while ago but forgot to post it. This is in a similar vein to the last college post. We were working on form and proportion. This was a pile of shoes stacked on cloth as a still life. #College #Drawing #MastoArt #xp

Recently we started in on shading and such. I was super happy with the way this turned out. I know I say that a lot, but before this I didn't really do physical art so I'm really surprised at the results. This class is the basics for me and, like usual in school, it doesn't feel like I'm learning much, but I definitely am subconsciously. In this one we did value scales and portraits of eggs. #College #Drawing #MastoArt #xp

Esperanto speakers, please give me some translation help. What’s “AgileBuckle” in Esperanto? It’s fine if it has to be separated into two words. Online sources are giving conflicting results. #Esperanto #TranslationRequest

This was our second key project which focused on value to create depth. I was really happy with this one other than it could have used some more white and dark black. It feels kind of flat as it is. I'm especially happy with how the hat looking thing on the lamp turned out. #College #Drawing #MastoArt #xp

I did some more Blender training today. Today I focused on lighting, volumetrics, and Suzanne 😜 #Blender #Blender3D #Render #MastoArt

This assignment was to paint a color wheel in an interesting way. My original idea was for them to look like a puddle, but it kind of reminds me of Salvador Dali’s clocks. The first image is the final project, the others are the process. #college #graphicdesign #MastoArt #xp

File under things I never thought I'd see: I wanted to get my caffeinated beverage for the day. I walked up to the vending machine and it wouldn't take my credit card because it wasn't properly connected to the internet. Yes, I know this is pitiful, but still. #AmIOld #ModernTechnology #VendingMachines #Alani

The goal of this assignment was to create four designs. One with bilateral or quadrilateral symmetry, one with asymmetrical, one with radial, and one with crystallographic balance. We also had to meet certain color schemes which I've listed below. I forgot to take any pictures of the process. Top left: Triadic Top right: Split complement Bottom left: Complementary Bottom right: psychology of color (happy, aggressive, passive, energetic, ...) #College #GraphicDesign #MastoArt #xp

I'm officially crazy. Last night I was walking into the house and our dog, Becky, was in the way. We sometimes call her Becky Boop as a reference to Betty Boop. I occasionally say "beep beep" like a car to get people to move. Last night I said "beep beep boop" to a dog. I sound like a computer. #DogsOfMastodon

The goal of this project was to take a photo, posterize it, and make three paintings. One monochromatic, one complementary, and one analogous. I’m really happy with the way the middle one turned out, but I think the other two turned out a bit dark. The first image is the final product. The rest are the process. The last image is the image I started out with. #College #GraphicDesign #MastoArt #xp
