Apparently in Turkey you can use a stiff arm in soccer (football). #worldcup

That’s the #USMNT that I know and lament. Good for Turkey. #worldcup

I was worried about the lack of acquisitions during the World Cup break, and the team looks flat and lifeless against Portland. Preparing myself for a dumpster fire of a back half of the season. #Sounders

FIFA President Gianni Infantino scrapped his self-enrichment program built on selling the World Cup to private investors. The fact that he created a self-enrichment program is why he needs to resign. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7482610/2026/07/31/fifa-world-cup-infantino-sale-u-turn-future/?source=user_shared_article&unlocked_article_code=1.11A.Mbd_.C1NDddVf4ij1&smid=ta-android-share

I don't miss Spotify much, but I do miss being able to control the playback on one computer from a different computer. It was so useful in the classroom. Airplay just isn't the same. #spotify #applemusic

I’m working on hating more effectively in 2026. I’m getting great ROI from my hatred of Alabama and Kalen DeBoer today. May this start a trend. #cfb #sports

I know it isn't on the authors, but libro.fm needs to figure its stuff out. What's the point of credits if you can't spent them on new books. #books #audiobooks

I’ve released some MeshCore related software and come to realize that some people don’t understand that there’s a difference between a bug and software not being written for a non-technical user.

@chunshek I’ve been running mine for nearly two years now. Moderation is easy if you start by using one of the blocklists for bad-actor instances. Federation can be solved with follows and relays. It’s a fun project.

In other words, just because you want to use the software doesn’t mean the software is _for_ you. (And don’t expect the author to explain basic Linux stuff to get it going.)

I have a couple of open source projects for MeshCore that I’ve seriously considered abandoning because I don’t get enough joy from them to deal with someone sending me a PR entitled “bug fixes and improvements” that includes 40K lines of AI-written changes, modifying the entire project.
