  I love and support the journalists and writers going out on their own and developing audiences independently. But it's overwhelming. There are too many newsletters, blog posts, and Substacks to read, and those are just the ones I know of want to. Not to mention discovery of new writers. It was much easier and effective when they were complied all together, you know...newspapers. It's really too bad the oligarchs killed that for us.

  This race is my district. Foushee is an establishment Democrat with close ties to AIPAC and Israel. She stopped taking AIPAC money (directly) last year, but apparently the dark money groups are still funneling funds to her. I have noticed a glut of pro-Foushee ads running recently. The challenger, Nida Allam, is a Bernie Sanders-endorsed anti-corporate progressive. (No link, paywalled article.)

  Anyone remember Colin Powell telling the US Saddam Hussein had "Weapons of Mass Destruction" in Iraq? It was an excuse to get us into a 2 trillion dollar war from which we gained…absolutely nothing and destabilized the entire region. So yeah, maybe don't believe anything anyone tells you about Iran posing a nuclear threat.
