@ValkyrieKerry Trying very hard not to laugh at this as I have laryngitis so laughing makes me cough at the moment.... So am trying to only smile - but it's a losing battle.

@NatureMC I keep on having to bring semi-sensitive plants inside as it's too warm for them to stay inside but then we have a sudden -3 degrees forecast. My Oleanders though, seem generally fine in my conservatory (I don't have a cellar) - I just put them outside again, also in winter when there is no forecast of frost for a few weeks.

@NatureMC Good to see these pictures and hear that the flowers provide for early pollinators. I have lots of small plants of Viburnum tinus French White which I found online as a bulk special offer from Amazon France of all places - they will now be distributed around my garden.

@NatureMC That's great news re the tiny wild bees and hoverflies. I had always wondered if Viburnum tinus was actually good for wildlife - or just for humans in winter. I will look after them even more now & look forward to seeing what will come and visit the flowers.

David Attenborough’s online Wild Isles isn’t too hard-hitting for TV – it doesn’t go far enough I was hoping for a film that would wake people up to the dismal state of British nature. This charming episode won’t do that Dave Goulson https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/apr/10/david-attenborough-wild-isles-online-tv-british-nature
