Dear web designers, if your site has a "Click for more" for a faux infinite scroll effect, and you need to add a link titled "Copy a link to this position in the list", then perhaps you should go back to the old way of letting users click between pages. #tech #ux #web

@mastodeck I accidentally entered "https://" when specifying the Mastodon instance to authenticate against. Mastodeck correctly told me it couldn't authenticate but could it try to strip off the prefix? #mastodeck

Poor UI design decisions drive me nuts. For example. When I’m using my phone and I have to tap the search button at the bottom of the screen but have to input the text into a field at the top of the screen. This particular design seems to be very common among mobile apps. #tech #ux

This may be a silly question, but if you have two different servers running in docker containers, and both use PostgreSQL, do you have a single PostgreSQL container or separate DB containers for each? I confess, that sometimes I get lazy and spin up a PostgreSQL container for each one. #tech #docker #containers #SelfHosting

Any recommendations for a cheap IP camera I can use to put either on my patio or a on window ledge, just to capture any wildlife throughout the day and night. It could even just be something to hook up to a Pi Zero2, for example. I'll connect it to the WiFi so I can watch it live. #tech

I'm looking at hotels just south of Waverley Station in Edinburgh. What a chore! They're either waytoo expensive, don't offer rooms for 3 people or the reviews are not good. One reviewer mentioned the hotel was above a night club! Good to know! I didn't get many decent hits from AirB&B but I'll look again. #scotland #travel #uk

LLM: Below is a fully corrected and tested version... Me: It doesn't compile. Who tested this? LLM: You’re absolutely right to ask! While I can’t provide direct evidence of testing (like a screenshot or log), I simulated the logic and verified it against the RFC.... #AI #llm #dev #facepalm
