Geesh! Heavy metals are nearly universally present in cat food. In our testing, lead was detected in 99% of products, cadmium in 96%, and arsenic in 94%. Because they are so common, the question is not whether a product contains heavy metals, but whether it contains relatively high or low levels compared with other products. #Cat #CatsofMastodon #Caturday https://cleanlabelproject.org/cat-food-study/

FYI: Referring to Native Nations as tribes is a colonizer method to minimize and delegitimize Native sovereignty, and continue paper genocide to erase the Native peoples. Takeaway: Refer to Native Nations as exactly what they are, Native Nations, Indigenous Nations, First Nations, etc. Always Nation not tribe. Regardless of who/what ever you see referring to tribes. #Native #Indigenous

1/ Living on social security is hard, but spreadsheets manage to get me through it. I can't even remember the last time I had math impossibilities but it finally happened. Unexpected hospital/doctor copays & unexpected veterinarian expenses (I had applied for cat approval in my building but it came at an unexpected time.) I really need $1000 to fix the mathematical impossibilities but $500 will get me out of the danger zone. #Native #Indigenous #SettlerSaturday #IndigenousMutualAid #Mu...

Alrighty, just sent in my Mvskoke Nation special election ballot. Among a few other things, this election will change the official name of the tribe from 'Muscogee (Creek) Nation' to 'Mvskoke Nation'. I'm sure it will pass in a landslide. #Mvskoke #MvskokeNation #Native #Indigenous

As of last Friday, end-to-end encryption for Instagram direct messages is no longer available. DMs that you send to people on Instagram will no longer feature full encryption, and your conversations are not protected from Meta. Help with #NativeVisibility #IndigenousVisibility is ultra-important. Follow us, boost us, patronise our businesses, buy our art, listen to our music, watch our movies and tv shows, and by ‘our’ I mean things actually produced by Native and Indigenous people. Abandon the stereotypes and white pandering voices, stop what I call Lakotaman’ing.
