While it's still recommendable to not take it as a 100 % guarantee, this is the clearest indication yet that @murena still intends to bring their /e/OS ANDROID 16 to the 📱FAIRPHONE 3 👉 https://community.e.foundation/t/week-30-development-and-testing-updates/83335/4?u=urs_lesse /u #Fairphone3 #Murena

Unfortunately, reports have recently accumulated that Germany-based electronics shop VIREO is being unresponsive. For the time being, caution is advised. Vireo has offered Fairphones, spare parts and accessories since the early days. In 2023, the company changed ownership and location. Not including the direct link here because of the partially misleading topic title (German language only), but feel free to look up "Vorsicht bei Vireo" in the https://fairphone.community forum....

Slightly overshadowed by the start of the Android 16 rollout to the Fairphone 6, there has also been an update for the 📲 FAIRPHONE 3️⃣ yesterday. – Interesting change from this update: Fairphone 3 bootloader unlocking is now possible without a code (this does NOT apply to Fairphone 4, 5 and 6). This should make switching to a custom ROM easier which seems especially helpful given the end of Android 13 support from Google. /u https://forum.fairphone.com/t/software-update-fp3-6-a-040-2/130354?u=wea...
