Formula 1 cars couldnt start their race this morning… because it was raining on the formation lap and they drove so slow that the electric engine got confused, drained energy and then the CE didnt have enough power to drive its safety car pace (or something) They all (22) had to update the software package before they could start again (im assuming just a FIA settings update). It’s crazy that that happened, but also crazy that they could make, release and install a software update in 30mins.

Years ago, I used to occasionally watch Mayim Bialik’s podcast. One of those slightly different perspectives with cool guests that was interesting to me. But this woman has gone completely off the spiritual, pseudoscience, antivax, UFO, conspiracy, zionist deep-end, especially over the last 2 years. It’s kinda sad. https://youtube.com/@mayimbialik

RE: https://mastodon.social/@regocas/117409103994410537 I’ve been waiting for something like this for years !!!! After aria and the new wcag, closing the gap between declarative accessibility towards functionally working accessibility has been taking way too long.

Do I NEED this ? No, but on discount it was about 50 euros more than what I was going to spend on some of the things in the set I was going to buy, so… I guess I’ll have to keep repairing phone screens and batteries for all my family and friends to repent for my sin. https://www.ifixit.com/en-eu/products/repair-business-toolkit

Jon Stewart interviews another one of my favorites, Cory Doctorow. And there’s some real gem moments here. I think Jon is about to launch a few new investigative daily show episodes on the contents of just this single show. https://youtube.com/watch?v=-dAIJRjb-Bw

Hank Green giving some amazing considerate, calm almost meditative overview of and background about the photography of earth and moon by the Artemis II mission. I wish this was the standard for content about this mission. Great to get down to what actually matters instead of the space race and USA rhetoric of it. https://youtu.be/oaXRREHVkHo #space #artemis

I added back the Share and Embed options to the wikimedia videoplayer. They show up when the video ends or when you pause. It uses the native browser Share interface, making it more maintainable. These options had been dropped when we rewrote it years ago. This new version was the result of two hackathons over the last two years. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:SO18-2018_and_L-5289.webm #mediawiki #videojs #wikipedia #wmhack

Lol, my first ICE is already 32 mins delayed. Gonna take a shortcut to arnhem and get on there instead I think, so that i can just take the planned time with seat reservation instead of having to muck about with delays down the line #wikimedia
