I think you can guess what I am doing CREATE EXTENSION file_fdw; CREATE SERVER pglog FOREIGN DATA WRAPPER file_fdw; CREATE FOREIGN TABLE temp_history_temp ( itemid bigint, clock integer, value DOUBLE PRECISION, ns integer) SERVER pglog OPTIONS ( filename '/tmp/history.csv', DELIMITER ',', FORMAT 'csv');

    zstd is magic. I've got a postgres with timescale + compression of tables. And when placing it on a btrfs + zstd=7 disk I'm still seeing a massive space saving down to 9% of original. That's quite some magic.

    Dear python. Your typing is absurd. Apply a type-hint to something that returns sys.exc_info() result. like. WTF are you up to? Seriously, I can't even apply Any because of this...

    I don’t want SD cards. That’s like what. DivX or VCD? A DVD analogy at best. I want higher resolution. More throughput. Faster. And I’m not talking about BluRay here. I want HD cards. A proper motorcycle on the information superhighway. Stuck behind a lorry and chewing asphalt with the toxoplasmosis infection from their aunts cat. Hang on. Where am I going with this. Off road and into the wild? I dunno anymore.

    I wish there was a coverage based way to alternate my Linux .config file. Not just the modules, but also the code paths never used but still enabler. This is not for a generic kernel but for a fleet of same hardware devices with slightly different use-cases between them.

    When you design a CoC for your #Mastodon or #GNUSocial instance, remember that you want enough strictness to: - Kick ESR off if he shows up - Aggressively ban botters & 4chan - Shut up the nazi-brigade when they come - Protect your users from abusive third parties.
