#LongCOVID Update: I've actually had some improvements, likely because I've actually been doing nothing but resting for the last few weeks. Still need my puffer, but not as often. Energy is back to about 50% of normal, and I'm back to only needing 8 hours of sleep a night. The brain fog is now intermittent, which might actually be a worse feeling than when it was constant. The intermittent chest pains are still around, but there's nothing overly weird the tests....

So, unsurprisingly my wife's mandatory all hands work meeting last week was a superspreader. We're both sick, both positive. So is her entire team. We're hoping to be well enough on the 25th to visit our parents... With her dad's health issues we need to be 100% certain because this virus will kill him. Oh and we were going to be booster eligible next week... Fuck. #covid19NB

So far I've made it out of round 2 more or less in the same state I went into it. My partner hasn't been so lucky. She ended up with a secondary infection, likely strep, which is heavily kicking her ass. She's on both steroids and antibiotics to try and clear it, but still too early to know what, if any, effect they'll have but we're hopeful.

So... Things are worse. We're currently in an isolation room at the ER, as my partner's ability to breath is declining. The current thought from the doctor is a secondary RSV infection instead of strep. At least it is serious enough that she's been seen, x-rayed and covid tested despite the waiting room being very full when we arrived. The hope is she's well enough to recover at home, but there is a significant chance she'll be admitted. I'm fucki...

I've been quiet on all social media lately. Not just here. That is all.

Two weeks since his surgery to fix his right knee. So far looks like a stunning success, even if he's not happy to be in the kennel (and will be really unhappy for another 6 weeks). #dogsofmastodon
