@edintone Thank you. I did some more research, however, and determined that note to be incorrect. Ulrich Greiner was not a trusted representative OF the peasants, he was a trusted representative sent WITH the peasants. As a commoner himself (though a fairly wealthy one) he was probably well known. The nobles who chose him may have thought he’d be a trusted voice. There’s also mention of legal conflicts he’d had with Werner Hipler, a nobleman who supported the rebellion.

A bit ago OtisGibbs.com asked for suggestions for where “A Love Letter to Handsome John” could show. It’s a movie Otis made with the late Todd Snider about their friend, John Prine. I submitted the Parkway Theater in #Minneapolis. No idea if that’s where it’s playing, but I just got an email back saying it’s playing here and they’ll announce the details tomorrow. I haven’t gone to an actual theater in a while, but I look forward to this. https://otisgibbs.com/a-love-letter-to-handsome-john-by...

@puppethead I’ll think about it. I also have friends who drive, but the only person I know who wanted to see this doesn’t want to go to Woodbury.

I really look forward to the album release party for Emmett Doyle’s “Mother Anarchy” on Sunday 4/26 at the Seward Cafe in #Minneapolis. Emmett is an activist, organizer, and musician who is also a union carpenter in his spare time. The album is a collection of revolutionary folk tunes including classics, translations, and originals. https://allevents.in/minneapolis/mother-anarchy-album-release-show/200029976396657 6:00. 4/26. 2129 E Franklin $10 Cover. No one turned away for lack of funds. #M...

I really enjoy Otis Gibbs’s YouTube channel (and really should subscribe to his Patreon). Here’s a recent post of his talking about how many theaters contacted him to show his film “A Love Letter to Handsome John.” He mentions how much Alamo Drafthouse helped them. I guess that’s cool, but I really wish it was showing somewhere closer to me than Woodbury. https://youtu.be/bbzMi8z1Wss

I gave into the hype and bought my tickets for #bananaball. I’d forgotten and almost mist my ticket window. I rushed through checkout without paying much attention, Now that I look at them, I see they’re for “Section 301-308.” Target Field is all numbered, but they don’t give you assigned seats just to force people to get there early. I’m so annoyed I might just sell.

Someone at the coffee shop just told his friend that he was going to be incognito for a few days because he’s flying to North Carolina. Instead of assuming he misused that word, I’ve been sitting here trying to imagine why this would be.

The Old Muskego Chirch, built in 1844, is one of the earliest Norwegian houses of worship built on mainland North America. Originally constructed in Waterford, WI, it now sits on the campus of The Lutheran Seminary in St. Paul - a short bus ride from me. I had never visited the site until today. I might eventually try to arrange a tour. The building is a national historic site and is currently for sale. #Minnesota #History

There’s a Cafe near me, Chindian Cafe, that’s been Togo only since Covid. I finally remembered them today and placed a pickup order through Square. I then got a frantic voice mail from the owner apologizing. He’s refunding the order and explained that they’ve been closed “since ICE came to our city.” A minor inconvenience to me. I just feel bad for anyone that’s still dealing with this. #ICE #Minneapolis

@timkangaroo.bsky.social Juat because he was killed by a mosquito bite doesn’t mean he wasn’t a loathsome piece of excrement.

Alright, I have a question. I’m going to Relish in #Minneapolis tonight (5/26) to listen to Kari Tauring and David De Young read poetry. I was perusing their menu and one item confuses me. There’s no such thing as an “Italian Sausage brat”, so what is this? Worse, and I just noticed this, they put garlic aioli on it.

Ha! And I hadn’t even noticed that the Cousin Richie is “served with au jus” #OldManYellsAtCloud complete.

I will not link to the source because they’re despicable, but I understand that at the #GOP convention in #Minnesota today they held a moment of silence for convicted murderer Derrick Chauvin. That’s what these #WhackJobs think will help them win.

As far as I know, there’s no video of the #Minnesota #GOP holding a moment of silence to honor a (still living) convicted murderer. There is, however, an audio clip included in this story. I’m struggling to understand if they support all murderers, just convicted ones, or only those that that murdered young black men. Maybe it’s only cops convicted of murdering young black men? https://minnesotareformer.com/2026/06/01/listen-to-the-moment-of-silence-mn-gop-delegates-held-for-derek-chauvin/

This is my third and, I promise, last post about the #Minnesota #GOP holding a moment of silence at their convention to honor a convicted murderer. Here’s the guy who made the motion whining because he had been encouraged not to. REMEMBER: He made the motion. It was seconded. The chair allowed it and called for a vote, The floor enthusiastically said “Aye.” They did it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0htmIne5njk
