@neil I'm having to recently start looking due to a few issues with my current despite not being that old. My main annoyance is that most of them keep getting bigger, if I want one with a smaller screen most are priced higher than cheaper models.

Welp, looks like I now need to smash my TV so it doesn't spy on me.

I used plug and charge today. Tl;dw, with a compatible chargepoint operator and car you can just plug your car in and it'll start charging. Roughly took a minute to fully kick in. #worldevday #electricvehicles

Gave the ID3 a clean today, a little limited due to hosepipe ban and building work going on but not too bad for just Rinseless + Quick Detailer. #electricVehicles #carcleaning #volkswagen #id3

Anyone tried using the optical port on their Smart Meter in the UK? I currently use a Glowmarkt stick but it's become a bit unreliable, the new CADs are a bit more than I fancy spending. Or an alternate solution for energy monitoring, CT Clamp unfortunately I don't think is an option as I need to measure export too and that requires AC which I can't get to the meter box.

If I had a nickel for every time Tom Scott has done a video from where I've lived, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

As there's still a hosepipe ban where I am RInseless washing is about the best way to keep my car clean. Whilst my current go to is Koch Chemie's RRW I thought I'd finally try Optimum No Rinse. To be tested on Sunday.

@wokstation@universeodon.com I'm hoping the greens will stay out of it and the main contender remains as binface. Even if binface doesn't win, if they got like 40% of the vote that'd be enough in itself.

I saw this on Reddit yesterday. If you use a Dualsense controller on PC, you can get a Pico 2W and flash it to become a USB Adapter. Provides full haptics and such wirelessly! https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/1sz3l97/psa_since_sony_wont_make_a_pc_dongle_for_the/

Nothing better than the Google Play notices to developers going to spam boxes in regards to the new Verification they're trying to push. On Gmail / Gsuite.... Twice as I have two Dev accounts too.

In some pretty good news. Brand new EVs are on average cheaper than Petrol. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2026/apr/17/new-uk-electric-car-price-petrol-ev-autotrader Definitely a move in the right direction.
