A very unhappy Nutmeg has to wear a shirt to stop her from scratching an abcess on her right side. Discovered Saturday, went straight to the Vet and have another appointment today to determine whether she needs surgery or not. #cats #CatsOfMastodon

It was a certain Sergeant's birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY son! Currently in-the-field at a remote Army base. You've come a long way in life. We're immensely proud. #Canada #CanadianArmy #BirthdayBoy #life

If this isn't played at my funeral, I won't be attending. Y'all will have to celebrate without me. https://youtu.be/zqUDRkO93DA?si=FmjZP_FSeLYFH-Ws

RE: https://mstdn.ca/@RandallHawes/117003921570759654 Well, she is off to the Vet again this morning for surgery. Minor surgery, but they will knock her out. My heart goes out to Nutmeg. Wish her well. #cats #CatsOfMastodon

A typical after dinner respite in our home. And yes, Nutmeg is eating again. Sparingly, but she's eating. #life #cats #naps

This princess has stopped eating. She has always had a good appetite. We've tried various foods. She nibbles a little, but we're quite concerned. Will keep you informed. #caturday #CatsOfMastodon #cats

This is going to be interesting for our family, what with our oldest son being an almost Sergeant-Major/Warrant Officer (one course to go - which of course was postponed - such is life in the Army). #Canada #ArmedForces #Army https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/army-canada-mobilization-soldiers-9.7145446

sigh I have to go to the grocery store. I hate going to the grocery store, but I have to go. Life is like that. Meanwhile, here is a fun, happy, uplifting tune performed by my little brothers' former band. Enjoy https://youtu.be/Qr_4hWUqygI?si=QP0mOktHYYPs28QO

Welp, that's enough doomscrolling for today. I'll check in occassionally to see if there are any more disasters happening today. Take care, all. Tomorrow is a new day.

I just recently celebrated three-quarters of a century living upon this Earth. They weren't all great years, but, yeah, 75 years. Crazy to think about the world I was born into and the world as it is now. Anyway ... yay me. #life #senior #celebrate #birthday
