    @decryption Yes, you&amp;#39;ll need to flash the firmware. Mainstream vendors aren&amp;#39;t shipping esphome products yet. Fortunately in this case it is an ESP8266 chip so flashing it should be a cakewalk.

    @decryption That depends on the device. You might find a way to flash it with openbk without cracking the case and once you have openbk on the device you can OTA to esphome. Might be worth looking at:https://openbekeniot.github.io/webapp/devicesList.html
