I was feeling bored and kind of down recently, so I decided to distract myself by trying out NetBSD on an old Wii U. I'd seen that support was added this year, but hadn't tried it. After a couple of days, I managed to get my usual terminal workflow up and running with no issues or build failures at all despite the exotic hardware. There's something so beautiful about using this weird old hardware to run a 2026 operating system. Never change, @netbsd@mastodon.sdf.org. Never change....

I don't use VSCode much, so it doesn't really affect me, but wow the new VSCode default theme looks really off to me. Something about the text contrast feels strange, it seems harder to read in a way I can't really describe. At least you can change it back I suppose. (1: Old, 2: New) #VSCode #Programming

Other people always say the Java mascot looks like a weird penguin or gnome, but I've always seen it as a dishwasher tablet. #Java #Programming
