@Homoevolutis0@geekdom.social 1 If you practice, try hard, maybe do some reading, a video game can provide a sense of satisfaction as you “level-up”, and you might even beat the game and successfully navigate the story line. Unless you’re playing an online game that isn’t moderated, where 8 year-old kids are using cheat codes, start with all the stuff, and just go around destroying everyone else’s progress while talking smack the whole time, essentially ruining the experience for everyone else

@Homoevolutis0@geekdom.social 2 In many ways, life has become a real-life version of the second example for many (most) people.

@cinja @thegibson @Macross @JDN5IX@hackers.town These are spiral, and carpeted. Looked awesome when we came to look at the place, sign the rental contract. 6 weeks after moving in… Nah. Roll-cage roomba combined with a slinky type-of-thing? Thinking a shop-vac with a long hose is probably the most practical cost-effective idea… Whatever the solution ends up being, stooping over to do the do is not going to be part of the equation.

@Av8rdan Sweet!! I’m setting notifications; I know next to nothing about flying and aviation, so I’m hoping to learn some new subject matter along the way 🤙🤓

@samlitzinger We should be, but honestly, this is TN doing what the south has always done when they thought they could get away with it. After the trump nomination, election, and administration, Jan 6, attacking RvW, the MAL document scandal, there isn’t really all that much the GOP has touched which has been truly shocking, save for the level they continue to sink to. Is this shocking? Yeah. In context of recent events? Not really. GOP does what GOP has always done

Semi serious question: Y’all think this might have been a documentary?

@spandauAnders@ioc.exchange I was brushing up on the ufo folklore the past couple days because of all the hubbub around the new guy whistleblower, and I came across a retelling of a ufo story that claimed 3 EBEs (?extraterrestrial biological entity?) were recovered, two died, but the third supposedly lived with ?a colonel? at his house from 1949-1952, it was named “EBE3” and according to the legend it could communicate and supposedly gave an interview somewhere. 1of2

@spandauAnders@ioc.exchange 2of2 As I listened to this story being told, I was cracking up at the thought of some military guy who was living with an alien at his house for 3 years - then it dawned on me that was a very similar story line to the film “Paul”. 🤣
