  Been working on my maze game lately. I have a bunch of puzzle style features that will be used in the variety of mazes that the player will encounter. This gif shows off the ones I have done so far: Conveyor belts, buttons that drop barriers, portals, locked doors, and moveable blocks.   So, I am looking for a job again. I am really trying to figure out what it is that I need to be doing. I think I am getting burned out on web development. Maybe it is just the lack of interesting projects to work on, but I have been having a hard time with focus and motivation at the last few jobs I had. If I can, I would like to pivot to a new career. I am passionate about writing, particularly advocacy. #jobs #advocacy

  Oh my gosh. Today, I found a job listing at a local policy organization that is right up my alley. It is a Data Analyst position and I feel like it would be a great fit for me. I really don't want to jinx anything. I need to customize my resume and write a compelling cover letter. I want this to work. Wish me luck. #jobs #advocacy

  Having a very stressful and anxiety riddled day. But I am taking some time to start working on a new game. I want to finish this one and get it out there. This game will be a maze game.   I recently read Micro by Richard Preston and Michael Crichton. This is one of those posthumous books of his. This one is complete garbage. It doesn't sound like Crichton, it is very poorly written, and just bad. From what I understand, this was written based on some notes Crichton wrote on napkins or something and Preston wrote a book based on what little info he had. But to put Crichton's name on this book is a disservice to his legacy. #books #michaelcrichton

  This week I took a major step toward improving my focus when I work on games and write. I had thought about just creating a user profile on my Mint OS laptop, but felt this was not enough. So I decided to multi-boot my computer by installing a dedicated gaming OS and a dedicated work OS. I went this route because otherwise, I would be tempted to just log into the other profile at any time. Now, I have to actually save my work, restart my PC and log into the other OS. #gamedev #indiegames #linux
