Does anyone have a pointer to a practical list (or website) of consumer goods that are coming from #israel? I’m not looking for lists of companies that are from Israel, but a list of product and brands? Here is an example: https://planitisrael.com/blog/top-israeli-products-and-brands/, but is very limited. (I don’t have a #sodastream and #Jaffa is not sold here, and I don’t use #waze, but good to know) An Israeli #boycott is something I can do to maybe someday stop the ongoing #genocide in #Ga...

In an email from Apple titled “You can now remove Intel support for macOS apps”, it states: “”” We’re reaching out to let you know that universal macOS apps on the Mac App Store that require macOS 13 or later can now remove support for Intel-based Mac computers. “”” This effectively renders my app unusable for all #intel users. What are they thinking at #apple? Of course it is a great option if you want to alienate users. Great advice! #Indiedev #macOS #Xcode #AppStore

Just #planted a #tree. A #ginkgo A #Japanese tree my wife received as a thank you for hosting a training. That’s a nice gesture, to give away trees. Luckily we had a spot in our garden for it. #Treeplanting #nature #co2reduction

#nowplaying Sufjan Stevens - Illinois Picked up this album at my local record store in #Enschede. It came from a batch of lightly damaged new albums. The #vinyl sounds great though. Very nice album. I already knew it from like 20 years ago, but kind of forgot about is. I only have one live #lp of Sufjan in my collection, so this is a nice addition. A very atmospheric record. Very well recorded by good musicians as well. Confusingly the album is called Illinois, but the cover says Illinoise.

Have you ever thought: it would be cool to have a #widget on my #macos desktop that would show the #artwork of the currently playing #applemusic or #Spotify track? #SmashTunes can do that for you: https://www.smashbits.nl/smashtunes #Indiedev

@SandraDeHaan TikTok vind ik nog weer wat anders dan X. Op TikTok bereik je een jongere doelgroep. De doelgroep op X? Ik twijfel of die er nog is inderdaad.

#NowPlaying Elliot Smith - XO. When I put it on the back of the sleeve said: copyright 2008. I thought it was older and the first release is from 1998. So that’s 28 years old. I first listened to it on CD. Now on #vinyl. It still is an excellent record. Nicely recorded and with great songs. To my ears every song has it own character, still the songs fit really well together. A nice and coherent piece of art. I’m sad to have learned that he passed away. #Singer-songwriter #alternative

I’ve started working on replacing #rollbar with #sentry for my app #smashtunes. I was getting in some very incidental crashes because of Rollbar. Rollbar should give me insight into potentential crashes not be a cause of them. Maybe it has to do with SmashTunes being a #macOS app and the Rollbar library only being for #iOS. I don’t know, but I’m switching over. So far Sentry looks promising. Does anyone have good experiences with maybe other tools like these?

#NowPlaying John Frusciante - To Record Water for Ten Days. I used to listen to this album quite a bit when it came out out, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it in the shop yesterday on #RecordStoreDay. It is the original album with some bonus material on side D. It didn’t come cheap. My friend at the store said he did not purchase several items because he thought they were too expensive. He could sell a lot at a lower price. Frusciante sold well. Anyway I’m glad I bought this item.

It’s quite some work to migrate my 17 year old app #SmashTunes to #Swift 6.2, but I’ve started the work. There are lots of code constructs that don’t work anymore, but I’m slowing picking up some patterns. In the end I think my app will be more robust and structured. I am forced to think about the architecture again. I started with over 200 warnings and am now down to 160. #Indiedev #macOS
