  The only thing I cared about was RAM amount cause I have some beefier things I wanted to run (multiple game servers that need 8-16gb ram each etc.) and that was the most affordable option. Without storage, maybe thats the reason for the cheaper price, but luckily I had some 1tb NVMEs hoarded from the before times. It has some linux problems, like I couldn’t make the NPU be usable, even though I used the ubuntu image that is supposed to support it, but those issues don’t matter for my usecase

  Sounds like bad planning. There are like 3 other e2ee messengers that are open source and have enough funding to operate for years without doing appeal-to-emotion dona-... extortion campaigns
