  “plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose” Mastodon reminds me of IRC, back in the 90s. I had favorite IRC servers, the latter being a UMN server. IRC was a leap for me from my mom’s iastate dot edu account in 1994. I moved from CopperDiku and Usenet to IRC. I literally work in tech now because of those opportunities. So when you see a youngin who seems fascinated by what you do, please… initiate them. I guarantee it will help.

  I got my partner Midnight Suns for Christmas. I remember it didn’t get “good reviews”, but he played the fuck outta Greedfall despite my thinking it just wasn’t a good game. What I love is to just sit in the living room with him, with my iPad or my Switch, and just being with him while he does things that make him happy. He works hard. He deserves the downtime.
