Ahh, a cozy evening on the timeline

The comedy we make at LRR… y'know, it could destroy civilization. It's simply SO funny, funnier than any human could conceive, it might be the end of all things. Obviously we're excited, but we also want to acknowledge that our comedy is simply too powerful and there is no choice but to submit.

Watching the Truth & Reconciliation event from Ottawa, and this is the part that gets me every year—the procession of the memorial cloth. https://www.youtube.com/live/-HZYkMAmbKk?t=5499

Saw a thread suggesting Destiny as an MTG UB set, and I gotta say it maps very well, colour-wise. W - Humans/Traveler U - Vex B - Hive R - Cabal G - Eliksni Guardians perhaps centered W but across all colours. Witness etc are Colourless. Lots of fun equipment! Telesto pre-banned in Vintage.

This week’s AEW Dynamite, a tribute show to the passing of Pac, is terrific viewing if you enjoy excellent wrestling and want to cry for two hours. Damn I’m gonna miss Pac.

Saw RESIDENT EVIL and, beyond the various small references, I thought it really captured the feeling and narrative flow of an RE game. Really enjoyed it. The tone reminds of EVIL DEAD 2, but not quite as silly. It’s violent, bloody, and tense while still being light-hearted and funny in places.

“We have our whole cast here… Seabats is TALL in the back! I didn’t realize how large he is.” Look at our large lad. https://www.twitch.tv/twitchrivals/clip/ElegantStupidAlfalfaRedCoat-Ji4kxDJliiRu5n3N

Saw AKIRA in IMAX last night, in what I realized was my first time actually seeing the movie. I’d seen it in pieces at various anime club marathon screenings back when that was The Way to Watch Anime. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Anyway! Yes, it’s very good. Every moment is an animation flex. Staggering for 1988.
