    I think the one thing I&#39;ve put my foot down is that I don&#39;t like how anti-AI hardliners exploit people&#39;s anxieties and encourage OCD (&quot;what if xyz is tainted by AI?&quot;). But I think that&#39;s just ideological hardliners in general, intentionally or not they&#39;ve got a habit of encouraging this sorta behaviour to keep things going...

    on a related note, Linux is fun when you don&#39;t have people screaming in your ear about how it&#39;s totally better than Windows and that you can upend your entire workflow to suit it... at the same time, I dunno if I&#39;m rly that committed to it atm. IDK, there&#39;s two sides of me atm: one prefers the desktop (KDE the GOAT), the other prefers - y&#39;know - having apps. (just thinking out loud pls don&#39;t respond trying to help.)

    LibreOffice has this really annoying quirk with conditional formatting on spreadsheets, where if you delete a row, it will alter the selection for that formula and it looks like unparsable gibberish. I use conditional formatting a lot and I won&#39;t lie, it does annoy me. Gonna see how OnlyOffice handles things. #LibreOffice

    I think I need to set a rule with free and open source software: if it&#39;s being evangelised and pushed, especially in a smug, condescending or otherwise generally circle-jerky sorta way, seek alternatives. It always seems like in the FOSS community, the jankiest shit gets evangelised while the stuff that&#39;s working or otherwise pragmatic gets left behind.

    reading some of the comments on the recent LTT Linux challenge and a lot of &#39;em are admitting to LLM/AI use to solve their problems. Not surprised. The water overuse claims that ideologues spread are basically myths but even in the case where it is true, it&#39;s funny that people would rather waste water than deal with the Linux community.

    Watching a vid about the Mario Galaxy Movie, and the video creator says something must&#39;ve awoken someone in the scene where Yoshi eats Kamek and shits him out in an egg. I have to say it felt like the Writer&#39;s/Animator&#39;s Barely Disguised Fetish when Bowser Jr. trapped Rosalina&#39;s full body using goo. The animation in particular made it feel a bit fetishy ngl.

    I made a jokey introductory post for Linux newbies on Bluesky linking to Spotify because I think the entire range of music library players on Linux is complete ass as a MusicBee user (btw), and someone said I should&#39;ve known better, and said to use SoundCloud, which is probably even worse technically and ethically than Spotify let&#39;s be real, and Newgrounds which isn&#39;t even for music libraries.
