<p>A professional geek. 40+ years of PC and minicomputer, et seq., experience programming, in order of use: BASIC, Pascal, dBase II, DataFlex, C/C++, *nix shellls (Bourne, C, Korn &amp; Bash shells), SQL, Java, Javascript, Perl, Python, C#, and too many toolkits to count!</p><p>I was focused mainly on database applications, transitioned to porting DataFlex to 29 *ix environs, and from x86 to 32-bit character mode (console) DOS and Windows. I never got near the Vax VMS machine. </p><p>The I connected our LAN to the Internet, first with uucp to Uni. of Miami (FL), then a DSL link for the first company website.
