If you've never been around a narcissist, or a psychopath, please read this. We need to recognize them for our own safety. https://www.theguardian.com/science/2026/aug/27/how-to-spot-a-psychopath-its-like-the-difference-between-a-domestic-cat-and-a-wild-cat#:~:text=Share,-Prefer%20the%20Guardian

Last year had success with a few bell pepper plants in a pot. This year, I ordered and planted a variety of sweet peppers, since we enjoyed them so much. Guess what? They aren't all sweet! A few have been quite spicy! Even son who likes spicy stuff says these have a lot of heat. Is this typical with pepper seed and plants? This is literally the entirety of my pepper growing experience. #gardening #gardens #growyourown #homegrown #peppers

"How are you dealing with all the mosquitoes?" asked neighbor 5 doors away. We have almost no mosquitoes. We have two mosquito dunk buckets, a purple martin house with loads of bug-eating birds, and we have plants that the frogs seem to like. That neighbor has grass. Americans, smdh. Another neighbor complained about JuneBugs. I haven't seen any this year. I guess these efforts are working! #mosquito #mosquitodunk #gardening #birding #insects

This is why we, and so many others, have moved out of South Florida. Our homeowners insurance is one tenth what we paid in FL. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/general/florida-retirement-haven-unravels-as-seniors-face-ruin-under-trump-economy/ar-AA28oA0Q?cvid=6a6280c0a0c648c0b972b33c65199965&ei=48 #Florida #RedState #Costofliving

Cantaloupe! These plants have grown and flowered, and are overtaking the entire bed! Loads of bees on the flowers. Well watered and fed. But until today, we hadn't found one melon. Hoping for more! #gardening #growyourown #cantaloupe

Time for an introduction post. I was in the Nov '22 migration from the birdsite. Enjoyed a good server, but I needed to move to a non-US one. Retired, married many decades, recently moved to a blue state. I mostly boost an eclectic mix of others' toots. There may be cursing. I am dieting. Looking forward to connecting with new and old friends. #introduction #libraries #books #history #USPolitics #wetlands #Birds #democracy #BlackLivesMatter #Disability #mysteries #gardening She/her

@signalapp New Fairphone 6 (in US, yay!). To transfer my account, (I don't need any message history), it says I must have Signal installed on both phones. I can't get the app on the new phone. "No eligible devices for app install". What am I missing?
