    @scottwilson that seems sensible. As a generalist dev, security is on my radar but I’m not an expert in it, it’s hard to evaluate the credibility. That said, I’ve seen some of their claims on the coding end work out while others are complete nonsense, figured this might be the same kind of thing. Thanks!

    The MCP server spec *might* be a fine standard — I’ve only read a few bits of it so far — but the implementations of it in various clients/harnesses is wildly inconsistent. Sure, VS Code, GitHub Copilot and Codex play nicely with all of them but Alter, Fluent, BoltAI and AnythingLLM, as consumer facing Mac clients, all fail some or every MCP server I tried. Still better than LSP black magic fuckery, I suppose.
