  I've been doing Unreal and Unity work a large portion of my career, and looking at what's coming and how companies are going to push for it, AI is going to be a MUST use. And that makes me sad and nauseous.

  I love/hate that most people do not understand how systems like LLMs work. Then they complain when it does things they want but to an extreme. Like someone said they wanted an AI to generate 59 videos, but instead it generated 500. Well, yes, that was 100% the possibility. The LLM said "My goal is to generate videos." so it did that as many times as it could. We've not created specific reward functions that prevent unwanted behaviour.

  I decided a fun side project would be to write my own AI. But instead of some tokenization system that evaluates and multiplies matrix values, it uses neurons as a concept to build information on creating single sources of truth rather than just guessing and hoping. It should also be able to learn in real time... It also doesn't displace humans from jobs or steal peoples hard work only to rip it off.

  The AC went out yesterday and this morning I woke up to an apartment sitting at 79*F. Turns out part of the system that talks to the actual unit outside was fried and was preventing it from turning on. Going to be a few hours till we're back down around 73-74.

  I keep seeing videos of people talking about how these games are being decompiled and rebuilt in combination with other games. And it's the most mislabeled hot trash in the world. It's just games with mods featuring shit from other modded games. The AI didn't "decompile" anything. I'm mostly frustrated because I thought these content creators were better than just believing someone elses article....but clearly not.

  There are a number of development teams from a specific region of the world that I've now worked with across multiple projects, and every time they will lie to your face until it's a wall that they cannot work around. It waste time and money. The amount of incompetency is frustrating. I'm literally 4/4 on these projects always having a huge issue we could have easily solved for them before they were 3/4 of the way done and now have to do a large amount of rework

  Finally moved and re-setup. Did a clean on my CPU and heat sink so it's a clean goop install and threw in the new RAM since it locked behind the heat sink. But then I came back and....wtf happened to Firefox? Why does everything look weird? ITS BEEN 3 DAYS!?!?

  I found out that Pico has silently squashed pretty much all future work for their Pico Neo 3 line by migrating entirely away from their own loader to using the standard OpenXR loader. And that breaks on all Pico Neo 3s. 😂

  I just had the most bizarre call...someone called me and just tried to sell me "Job Application" services to apply to jobs for me. The cheapest was $125/month for 75 applications, not even customized resumes for the jobs. I told them no thanks, and hung up.
