  The last time I went into the future I changed the laws for time machines so that when time travelling it is illegal to reveal you are time travelling to people you encounter EXCEPT on April 1st when you can be as honest as you want. Looking back (forward?) it might be the reason April 1st was created in the first place.

  People mistake the fact that a professional camera is useful for a vast variety of non-wartime uses for the fact that a professional camera is less powerful than say something like an assault rifle, yes an assault rifle can end your life from 300m away, but a professional camera can change the world from 300m away, you tell me which is more powerful! This isn't an argument about how guns should all be legal, I am just pointing out how insanely powerful digital cameras are.

  The problem I have with the derisive attitude towards social media that has proliferated just because corporations and creepy rightwing weirdos make social media awful when they own it... and the problem I have with blanket bans on social media for youth is that it fails to understand that the alternative to social media is often internal media, it is withdrawing to internal space, it hardly ever means entering some equivalent but nearby local environment instead which is what everyone imagines.

  I want geoguessr but for the woods, you don't get gorgeous vistas 99% of the time, just mundane pictures of the woods on a trail somewhere and you have to guess based on the makeup of the forest.

  The only social media I am sure makes people dumber is Discord, every time I interact with people on Discord or people who's information about something comes from a Discord group they act dumb as rocks and repeatedly jump from thought terminating quip to thought terminating quip.
