Just before our #KilltownDeathFest gig, it's #BandcampFriday and we can toot about our single from last year, celebrating 40 years of #deathmetal (actual date of birth still under debate). As a challenge; Can you name the 16 bands referenced in the lyrics without searching (no LLMs either)? https://abhorrencefin.bandcamp.com/track/old-age-sickness-and-death-metal

KTDF just announced festival beers! They're called Pallor Mortis Pale Ale, Distension Discolouration Sour, Blackened Putrefaction Dark Lager, Active Decay IPA, all done in collaboration with Slowburn Brewing! Have I mentioned I'm a huge fan of sour beers? Anyway, might have to pick some to bring home too! #beer #metal #killtowndeathfest (sorry about the FB-link) https://www.facebook.com/events/1201194388611269/?post_id=1390144536382919&view=permalink

Let's help Kill-Town Death Fest get some visibility and help the underground! Spread the word! Especially Facebook is suppressing lots of information, unless you pay of course. For example their Facebook has lots of flyers and banners, so be an old school street team member and put your own twist on the message, share their stuffs. We finally opened a merch store! It's a local company based in Finland and everything is print-on-demand, I think. Let me know if there is something you'd like to see there, we're still trying to sort everything out. All wishes, suggestions and ideas are welcome! 🙏 https://fanmerch.fi/shop/abhorrence/

@hannsr yup, I've got few of those, which are on 3 sides because it wouldn't fit on single LP without degrading the sound, which is acceptable to me. D-sides have engravings tho, which are pretty, but... Yeah. - Jukka

@Kitty thanks, but it's not a Fedi problem, nor a real problem in general really, just something I was wondering due to a email.

Horrifying report from Deezer. This bit "35% of all new uploads is AI" was especially horrifying, but also that a lot of people don't notice, or even care, is quite freaky. When will the first "Death album that Chuck forgot in his leather jacket pocket" get released? https://newsroom-deezer.com/2025/11/deezer-ipsos-survey-ai-music/

"Mapping Ownership Concentration in the European Live Music Sector" This sucks. While it doesn't directly touch underground music nor big chunk of death metal scene, this same "concentration of power", so to speak, is everyhwere, including entertainment and food industry. Yet another reason to support your local everything, support the small ones, buy direct if possible. https://reset-network.eu/mapping-ownership-concentration-in-the-european-live-m...
