You are very confused about what the Christian God is. We can blame modern Christianity for that confusion. The Xian God was never about policing people to behave nice to each other. It was always nothing more than a brutal, cruel Totalitarian Authoritarian Force who must be obeyed without question. The Old Testament was a set of stories written to scare the shit out of you if you didn't blindly obey this immensely powerful monstrous force that ruled with an iron fist. Then the New Testament told a story about a man who said if you completely give up your free will to this blind obedience, you will feel a profound sense of peace that comes from never needing to think for yourself ever again and a sense of safety from someone else always making all decisions for you, until you die happily and willingly. It's a very long-winded way of saying the Hebrew version of "Uncle Sam Wants You".
