I don't understand how Maya decides which settings to save in which locations. Maya crashed when I had the mesh Cleanup Options window open. When I re-opened Maya, it remembered the position of the Clean Options window, but not the settings I used within that window. I assume window position is auto-saved in a config file, whereas specific number/slider settings only get saved via File --> Save Preferences or successful application quit. This creates an inconsistent & confusing user experience.
