Woah, this maybe a good way of contributing what seems to be a skill I have. Not trying to brag but as a 33 year old skidmark on the national economy, I am currently batting 1000 on job interviews over my life. I have multiple times just quit a job on the spot and had a new one before weeks end. I’m not sure why, or how, but I have never been interviewed and not offered the job. Mind, none of them have required “skills” or “education” beyond what I’ve picked up along the way, they could be called entry level jobs but I’ve never really seen a path upward in any of the companies, doesn’t seem to work like that anymore. Just jobs, ~$40k a year usually with benefits. I have always had a hard time understanding why people who “can’t find work” don’t just take a job that’s available while they look for the perfect one. Spoiler, I have never found a perfect job, aside from working for myself.

The internet really messed with things. We put a help-wanted ad in the local paper in 2000, specifically said in the ad “local candidates only” - I received 400+ applications in the first week, ~300 of them from out of town, 20+ of them from other countries. Sorting through the pile (they were still snail-mailed in those days) I came across a local candidate who worked with a company we regularly did business with, had our guy call his ex-manager and asked one question “would you re-hire him if you had the chance?” Answer was yes. We hired him, he was good. My sincere apologies if your application was in the bottom of the stack and you were better qualified. Life is like that most of the time.

80 hours of the JSC^TM^ method, plus obligatory book to buy? This smells exploitative.
