Still working through the new Jackie Chan 4K box set from Arrow. Last night we watched Mr. Nice Guy. Another new to me Jackie Chan film and I really enjoyed it. You can tell that Jackie's ankle had finally healed after the dramatic (on screen!) break in Rumble in the Bronx; this one felt much more lively and action oriented than Thunderbolt and Police Story 4. The circular saw stunts were utterly unhinged!

Just finished off the new Jackie Chan Arrow 4K with one of my favourites; Who Am I?! Last year I finally got my hands on the Japanese laserdisc which contains the Hong Kong cut of the film while I was in Nagoya...so of course it finally got a proper release soon after! I love the final fight on top of the Dutch skyscraper and *that* crazy stunt of sliding down the side of it! I remember standing at the foot of that building when I visited Rotterdam, looking up and thinking... "the utter madman!" (Sadly the clear plastic front of this case has gone all crinkly...no idea what happened. I'm sure it was fine last week. Maybe the crazy heat we've been having here lately?)
