RE: https://infosec.exchange/@josephcox/116936059609034986 so much of what we see in the news is the obvious consequence of kicking the can down the road instead of addressing a real problem we had months/years ago. the federal government paying data brokers to help ICE hunt down 'voter fraud' is a combination of several of those - namely our refusal to take privacy rights/data broker regulation seriously, and not putting any amount of oversight on ICE
