“Here you will tread upon a spark, but here, and there, and behind you, and in front of you, and everywhere, flames will blaze up. It is a subterranean fire. You cannot put it out.”

This is the second part of a series of illustrated quotes from historical anarchists. The series is named "Subterranean" after this quote from August Spies, which is always on my mind. The first illustration in the series features the words of Lucy Parsons: https://kolektiva.social/@calendsofapril/116834332371375276 Up next, I'm working on a four-panel version of this same August Spies quote, to give it some room to breathe (it's a lot of quote to fit into one panel). And after that, TBD. More info about the Haymarket martyrs and Chicago anarchists + some thoughts about the quote, in the thread: 2/4
