@Heliograph@mastodon.au Mostly they are. There is an allowed amount of money you can deduct from .income, known as standard deductions in many countries, the problem is deductions are small. Some parties are setting policy for an income minimum below which there is no income tax, and not using an itemized list. Supply side economics is a trick used to provide enough poverty, to control economies. Reducing demand is an economic crime. Dont tax work, tax wealth.
